Grants
The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County (CFWC) is pleased to have provided funding to your organization.
Please include an acknowledgement of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County’s funding of your projects in all press releases, newsletters, brochures, annual reports and other promotional materials. By doing so, you will help the community understand how CFWC supports outstanding organizations in the region.
How to list the grants:
This information must be included. Please acknowledge the individual funds that have made your grant possible, as well as The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, affiliated with The Pittsburgh Foundation.
Example:
Funding for the XYZ project was provided by the Robert C. Smith Fund and the Betsy R. Clark Fund of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, affiliated with The Pittsburgh Foundation.
The name of the funds that provided your grant are listed in your grant approval letter.
Always capitalize the “T” in The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.

Since its inception in 1995, The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County (CFWC) has grown to include more than 220 funds valued at $23 million. CFWC has also granted more than $14 million to local non-profit organizations.
In July 2010, CFWC made community foundation history by merging with The Pittsburgh Foundation. The merger of these two organizations signifies a new era in non-profit alignment and growth of mission. By harnessing the strength of The Pittsburgh Foundation, CFWC has an increased presence across the region offering its donors improved services, its non-profit partners increased grantmaking opportunities and ultimately the ability to serve Westmoreland County at a greater level.
