Mary Robb Shimko
Molly Robb Shimko serves as the vice president for Institutional Advancement at Seton Hill University. In this role she has held since 2018, Molly oversees Seton Hill’s efforts around development, alumni relations and communications and works to build relationships with alumni and friends to support the university’s students and programs.
Prior to being named vice president, Molly had served in a variety of roles at Seton Hill since 1999, including director of Development, director of Development and Media Relations and associate vice president for Institutional Advancement and Chief Communications Officer.
Throughout her tenure with Seton Hill, Molly has been instrumental in generating major gift support for the University. She is currently advancing efforts to support Seton Hill’s Catholic mission; increase scholarships and academic support for students; grow community engagement; and construct and renovate facilities for programs in health sciences, business and technology, and athletics. Molly serves as liaison to the Seton Hill University Board of Trustees on issues of governance, board development and strategic communications. In addition, she has served as liaison to the Academic Innovation and Planning Advisory Board that supports discussion about potential new programs based on workforce needs.
Prior to her work at Seton Hill, Molly served as director of Major Gifts and associate director of Development at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. Before joining Chatham, Molly worked as development officer for the Annual Fund at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.
Molly is a member of several professional organizations, including the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council, and the Public Relations Society of America.
Molly’s community activities include service on the Catholic Charities Board of the Diocese of Greensburg; the Independence Health Patient Family Advisory Council; and the Greensburg Community Development Corporation Board. She is a past president of the Mental Health America Southwestern Pennsylvania Board, and a past president of the Saint Vincent Alumni Council. She is a member of Saint Vincent Basilica Parish.
A Distinguished Alumna of Saint Vincent College, Molly has also been honored with the Winners’ Circle Westmoreland County Award for Community Service, and the Mental Health America of Southwestern Pennsylvania Innovations Award.
Molly earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Seton Hill University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Saint Vincent College. She resides in Latrobe, Pa., with her husband, Kenneth.
