She brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, program development, fundraising and relationship building. She’s a western Pennsylvania native, born and raised in Stanton Heights and has been living with her family in Westmoreland County since 2014.
McCrae has a strong background in workforce development and in financial and organizational management, both of which are top priorities for CFWC as it extends its grantmaking and nonprofit networking in Westmoreland County. Before Goodwill, she was chief program officer with Partner4Work in Pittsburgh, where she managed a team of 13 people who oversaw more than $15 million in employment programs. She developed strong relationships with the foundation community, providers and elected officials. Prior to this, she was vice president and senior program officer at The Forbes Funds, a supporting organization of The Pittsburgh Foundation, where she convened stakeholder groups, managed grantmaking and oversaw the implementation of its biennial nonprofit summit. Other employment experiences include serving as chief operating officer for Three Rivers Investment Board and directing CORO’s regional internship center for southwestern Pennsylvania.
She earned her master’s of public administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, and her bachelor’s in political science from Allegheny College. She has received numerous awards including the Pittsburgh Business Times Fast Tracker award, PUMP Pittsburgh 40 Under 40 award and was a Presidential Management Fellow.
