Finding Balance: Interventions for Modern Problems, Mental Health America of Southwestern PA's annual conference will focus on a variety of topics relevant to the behavioral health, trauma, and substance use disorder treatment fields. This year Mental Health America of Southwestern PA is honored to welcome Jewish Family and Community Services (JFCS) and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre to be our 2019 Keynote Speakers. A panel from JFCS will present in the morning and will discuss their role in leading the community recovery response after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting of October 27. This presentation will be followed by a lunchtime special presentation by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre which will discuss the intersection of dance, movement, and mental wellness. Additional conference topics include ethics, trauma informed care, music therapy, LGBTQ+ 101, addiction and recovery.
