The Scottdale Historical Society is hosting scary walking tours of downtown Scottdale in October. Called “Shadows of Scottdale”, these tours are not ghost stories, but real, horrific events that happened in town. Admission to the one-hour walking tours is $15 per person**. Included with the tour is admission to a vintage horror film to be shown at the Geyer Performing Arts Center after the walking tour has ended. The Real Horror Stories on the Tour - The Self Butcher - The Fire Fiend - The Moonshine Feud - Trolley Tragedies - and more! All stories have been researched in newspapers, census records, and other data. Because the information is historically accurate, some of the stories contain graphic descriptions of deaths and tragic accidents. Content may be inappropriate for younger audiences, and participant discretion is advised. Tours will begin and end at the Geyer Performing Arts Center.
