Who is eligible for the Visionaries?

Westmoreland County working professionals and/or residents aged 22-40 age who are not currently working in the nonprofit sector. Interested participants should want to learn nore about pressing needs within the community and the charitable organizations addressing those needs. 

Westmoreland County businesses that want to enhance their current charitable involvement in the community or expand professional development opportunities for younger employees.  

How much is the contribution for Visionaries?

Individuals are asked to contribute a $500 participatory donation or to secure that amount via their employer or similar sponsor. All contributions are tax deductible. If you are interested in the program, but do not have the financial resources or want to discuss payment plan options, please reach out to Sara Swaney at swaneys@cfwestmoreland.org to discuss.  

What does the program and time commitment look like?

The program format consists of three learning sessions that take place between June and August and will conclude in September with the "Pitch-In Party" celebration. We anticipate 10 hours of time for participants throughout the course of the program. If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled sessions, we ask that you notify staff in advance.  

What happens if I must miss a session?

We ask you to make every effort to attend sessions, both to support your cohort and because they are cumulative, but recognize conflicts may arise. Our staff will work with you to review what materials you miss, and you can coordinate with other cohort members as to what is needed in your absence. . If a key decision is being made in that session, we will get your input ahead of time, so it can be incorporated.
