Sherri McCleary
Sherri McCleary joined the board of advisors at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County in September 2024.
In late 2020, McCleary began her current role as the inaugural executive director of the Digital Foundry at Penn State New Kensington, bringing with her more than 35 years of experience as an executive leader, innovator and engineer. McCleary is passionate about leveraging technology to create tangible value and foster meaningful connections between people and innovation. Under her leadership, the center has become a regional hub and a nationally recognized model for integrating advanced manufacturing technologies into the workforce and manufacturing businesses.
In previous roles, she served as the director of the Additive Manufacturing Business at Kennametal and spent more than three decades at Alcoa/Arconic, where she held pivotal roles such as director of Research and Development and vice president of Technologies and Operations for Alcoa Defense Inc.
Sherri serves on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation and previously was on the board of directors for Amplify Church and the Alle-Kiski Hope Center.
She holds an Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Gannon University, and professional certifications in Intellectual Property and Contract Law, MBA Essentials and Technology Leadership.
